  • 3 Island State Park Campout, February 2009

    David R., Troop Historian

  • Our February campout was tons of fun even though there were not as many Scouts as usual. We left Friday afternoon for Three Island State Park in Idaho. We got there a little before sundown which meant that we had to set up camp in the dark. It wasn't too bad. We had a small fire and went to bed. The next morning we got up, had breakfast, and then some of the younger Scouts worked on rank advancements. The older Scouts mostly played football. We had lunch and went to 1000 Springs where we went swimming in hot springs. It was probably the best part of the campout. When we were done jumping off the high dive we dried off and went back to camp. We had dinner, made a fire, did some skits, and sang some songs. After that we hit the sack. In the morning we ate, tore down camp, cleaned up and hit the road. While in the car we had our church service. Overall it was a pretty good campout.
